How DMB Agency Rebuilt a 500-Page Multilingual Website and Accelerated Its SEO Growth

WordPress Migration SEO Case Study

Rebuilding 500 Pages Without Throwing Away Years of Search History

This WordPress Migration SEO Case Study shows how DMB Agency rebuilt approximately
500 pages across five languages while protecting valuable legacy URLs and rebuilding
the website’s technical SEO foundation.

The goal wasn’t simply to launch a better-looking website. It was to preserve accumulated search value, repair technical weaknesses and create a platform capable of supporting future organic and AI-search growth.

01 — The Challenge

The real problem wasn’t the design.

MuhammedBayram.com
had previously been moved away from WordPress into a static implementation.
Over time, that created a complicated technical environment involving legacy URLs, inconsistent indexing, multilingual structures, redirect issues and fragmented sitemap infrastructure.

Hundreds of URLs already had an established relationship with Google. Some had been crawled, indexed or ranked in the past. Simply deleting the existing structure and rebuilding from zero could have discarded years of accumulated search signals.

The Objective

Don’t start over. Preserve the site’s digital history, repair what is broken and
rebuild a stronger technical foundation underneath it.

02 — Migration Strategy

A recovery-first migration process.

Instead of building a new website first and thinking about SEO afterwards, the migration architecture was planned around the site’s existing search assets.

01

Audit

Map existing URLs, indexed pages, language structures, redirects and
technical issues before any major architectural change.

02

Preserve

Retain valuable URL structures wherever practical and map deliberate
redirects whenever a URL genuinely needs to change.

03

Rebuild

Reconstruct the website on WordPress with a scalable multilingual
publishing architecture and stronger editorial flexibility.

04

Recover & Grow

Restore sitemaps, crawlability, indexation signals, internal architecture and the technical foundations required for future growth.

Technical SEO

SEO wasn’t added after the migration. It shaped the migration.

One of the most common website migration mistakes is building the new website, launching it and only then asking the SEO team to repair whatever search visibility was lost along the way.

For this project, crawlability, indexation, URL preservation, redirect logic, internal linking, metadata, multilingual structure and sitemap reconstruction were treated as part of the website architecture itself.

This follows the broader DMB Agency SEO methodology: technical health, content architecture and search visibility should work together, not as disconnected tasks.

03 — Search Performance

150,000 Google impressions in three months.

The latest Google Search Console data shows a clear shift from relatively stable search activity into a noticeably stronger organic growth phase.

Multilingual Architecture

Multilingual SEO made every architectural decision more important.

Managing one website structure is challenging enough. Managing approximately 500 pages across five languages means URL changes, redirects, internal links, duplicate structures and indexation decisions can multiply quickly.

The rebuilt MuhammedBayram.com now provides a scalable foundation for publishing specialist medical content to multiple international audiences.

04 — The Bigger Lesson

A redesign should improve a website — not erase the visibility it already earned.

Search engines build an understanding of a website over time through URLs,
internal links, content relationships, backlinks, crawl history and user search behaviour.

A migration that ignores those signals can unintentionally ask Google to rediscover the website from scratch. A better migration protects what works, repairs what doesn’t and creates a stronger platform for future growth.
